Woong Choi is a Certified Public Accountant (Korea) and a leading member/advisor in the International Trade & Customs Practice Group. Having extensive experience with trade remedy matters (anti-dumping, countervailing duty, etc.), and FTA compliance issues, Mr. Choi has provided advice on a wide range of related cases, including, among other things, anti-dumping investigations initiated by foreign governments concerning export goods such as electronics, steel and chemical products,, etc. His clients have included leading domestic corporations such as LG Electronics, POSCO, SK Global Chemical. Mr. Choi has played a prominent role in successfully dealing with investigations conducted by the Korea Trade Commission and is recognized for his professionalism and effectiveness in working to protect the interests of clients in connection with all forms of trade-related matters..
Based on his extensive trade-related experience, Mr. Choi provides comprehensive advice on FTA compliance issues, including thorough analysis of the FTA origin system and its application, interpretations of FTA rulings, support for origin verification actions initiated by the Korea Customs Service or foreign customs offices, etc. His advice is instrumental in helping clients to improve their global competitiveness by fully utilizing beneficial features of the FTA and avoiding compliance pitfalls.
