Tae Hwan Kim is a certified public accountant in our Tax · Customs Group. He works with major multinational companies and advises clients on tax consulting and strategic advisory services, tax appeal, tax audits, tax disputes, advance rulings and financial service taxation.
Mr. Kim has extensive experience in handling a broad range of issues relating to international taxation issues and financial service taxation matters. He has advised numerous Korean and multinational companies on tax-related transaction planning, business planning and tax compliance matters, including in-depth advice in connection with various due diligence exercises, M&A transactions, business restructuring plans, pre-tax audit reviews, tax audit defenses, tax appeals and tax rulings. He has also provided tax consultation for major multinational financial institutions with business presence in Korea.
Prior to joining Lee & Ko in 2022, he worked at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young Han Young as a tax specialist.
Mr. Kim received his B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University in 2012 and is a member of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
