Jaiwoung Kim had a distinguished career spanning 33 years in the National Tax Service (NTS) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance before joining Lee & Ko. After graduating from the National Tax College as a member of the latter's first graduating class, he joined the NTS and has since held numerous key positions and responsibilities in the NTS. In 2016 he became the Commissioner of the NTS Seoul Regional Office, one of the most sought-after positions in the NTS. As the Commissioner of the NTS Seoul Regional Office, he was known not only for his own expertise but also for his genuine interests in helping his younger colleagues develop their expertise in tax matters. He still commands admiration and respect from the officers of the NTS and its regional offices. In Lee & Ko, Mr. Kim is assisting clients in all tax matters as a senior advisor.
