We are seeking a Foreign Legal Counsel with four to ten years of M&A and corporate experience to join our M&A team in Seoul. This offers a unique opportunity to join one of Korea’s market-leading M&A practices, comprising more than 100 professionals dedicated to advising domestic and international clients on high-profile M&A transactions and various corporate and regulatory matters. Our client portfolio includes many of Korea’s leading companies and financial institutions, as well as numerous multinational corporations and major private equity funds active in Asia.
Requirements
- Requires a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or its equivalent, with four to ten years of experience as an M&A, private equity, or corporate lawyer.
- Must be admitted to practice law in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, or other common law jurisdictions.
- Excellent academic credentials and communication and technical skills.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with clients and colleagues in a collaborative, team-oriented setting to:
- lead and support domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures, from due diligence to closing and post-merger integration;
- draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents (e.g., SPA, SHA, JVA) and related legal instruments; and
- handle corporate and regulatory matters for foreign, multinational corporations and private equity funds.
