Woori Financial Group’s acquisition of Daol Investment

Lee & Ko advised the buyer, Woori Financial Group Inc., on the purchase of a controlling interest in Daol Investment (52% of the issued share capital) from DAOL Investment & Securities Co. Ltd. Since this transaction attracted great attention from the industry as a deal aimed at expanding the business portfolio of Woori Financial Group Inc., Lee & Ko advised Woori Financial Group Inc. throughout the entire process, including due diligence, negotiation of a memorandum of understanding, price negotiation, and negotiation of the main contract, and led to the successful conclusion and closing of the transaction by establishing the optimal transaction structure, reviewing the law, and making efforts to reasonably adjust and harmonize the interests of the parties involved.
