Lee & Ko represented Magnus Private Equity Fund and led to a successful closing of a USD 435 million transfer transaction through which Magnus Private Equity Fund acquired assets of MagnaChip Semiconductor, Ltd.’s Foundry Services Group including the assets of its overseas sales business entity and a factory in Cheongju.
Magnus Private Equity Fund is a private equity fund established by Alchemist Capital Partners Korea Co., Ltd. and Credian Partners, Inc. for this transaction. Alchemist Capital Partners Korea Co., Ltd. and Credian Partners Inc. are the joint general partners, and SK hynix Inc. and Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives are the limited partners of Magnus Private Equity Fund. MagnaChip Semiconductor, Ltd., the transferor in this transaction, is one of the four major non-memory business operating entities in Korea.
