Pulmuone Co. Ltd. (“Pulmuone”)acquired a substantial part of the food business unit of Vitasoy USA Inc. (“Vitasoy”), the leading company in the US tofu market, at USD 50 million. Pulmuone has acquired Vitasoy through its affiliate in the US, the Coast Acquisition Company LLC, and expects to expand its business in the US through this acquisition. The acquisition involved complex issues relating to the acquisition method, the determination of the specific business and assets subject to acquisition, regulations and labor issues.
