Lee & Ko successfully advised SKT on its participating in the auction for assigning wireless broadband spectrums to telecom carriers which proved to be the largest ever and most complicated spectrum auction thus far in Korea. During this broadband spectrum auction various legal issues in relation to conditions to spectrum allocation, bidding methods and spectrum cap regulation were raised. However, with Lee & Ko’s expertise and experience in this area, SKT was successful in bidding for the spectrums.
