LBO Financing for acquisition of Young Hwa Engineering Co., Ltd.

Lee & Ko acted as counsel to the lenders in respect of leveraged-buyout financing for the acquisition of Young Hwa Engineering Co., Ltd.  This deal drew substantial market attention since MBK Partners, Korea’s largest private equity fund, acquired a leading global steel structures manufacturer and the only Asian steel structure exporter to Japan.  Lee & Ko advised Hana Daetoo Investment Bank, Hana Bank, Shinhan Capital Co., Ltd. and KT Capital Co., Ltd.  The borrower, Young Hwa Holdings Inc., was advised by Kim & Chang.  The size of the financing was KRW 50,000,000,000 and the deal closed on October 27, 2009.
