On April 04, 2014, Lee & Ko held a seminar on “Details and Meanings of Sub-laws of the Registration and Assessment of Chemicals Act and the Chemicals Control Act” with deputy directors whom arein charge of the above Acts. The purpose of the seminar was to introduce the details and meanings of these Acts to those who work in the chemicals industry.
Starting with a welcome speech of Jae Hoon Kim, the representative partner of Lee & Ko, the seminar was led by speeches of (i) In Mok Hwang, a deputy director of the Chemicals Department of the Ministry of Environment, (ii) Pil Moo Ryu, a deputy director of the Chemicals Safety T/F Team of the Ministry of Environment and (iii) Tong Keun Seol and Seung Jin Hong, attorneys of Lee & Ko. These presenters gave speeches on the sub-laws of the Registration and Assessment of Chemicals Act, matters to be prepared by the companies for preparing for the enforcement of the Registration and Assessment of Chemicals Act, the sub-laws of the Chemicals Control Act and matters to be prepared by the companies for preparing for the enforcement of the Chemicals Control Act.
With more than 250 attendees, many companies showed a great interest in the Acts and the attendees enthusiastically participated in the seminar by throwing various questions at the end of each session.
