On February 11, 2022, Lee & Ko Global Commerce Institute held a conference on “Digital Trade and Personal Data Protection”.

The conference was hosted by Lee & Ko GCI and sponsored by Personal Information Protection Commission and Korea Internet & Security Agency. In this conference, it was emphasized that considering infringement of personal information can be a justification for digital trade barriers, multilateral consultation on the personal information discipline system is necessary. 
 In addition, experts stressed that Korean companies should prepare for changes in the business environment due to domestic and international legal reform.
