On November 26, 2020, Seoul Finance reported Tong Keun Seol’s participation in the 4th Energy and Carbon Forum. Seol, a partner at Lee & Ko, was invited to speak on legal issues concerning the emissions trading scheme in Korea.
During Seol’s presentation, he commented on the problems of the current Korean emissions trading scheme. According to Seol, “emissions trading scheme in Korea is essentially a for-profit administrative disposition which puts companies in a difficult position, and the system is generally not market-friendly.”
