On March 11, 2020, Seoul Economic Daily reported news of Lee & Ko’s recruitment efforts to strengthen its competitiveness in specialized fields, such as litigation and tax.
“On March 1, Lee & Ko recruited Attorneys Kwang-cheol Jin and Seung-gyu Lee, who formerly served at the bench,” according to the Herald Business.
It also stated that “Jae-woong Kim, the former head of the Seoul Regional Tax Office, also joined Lee & Ko last January,” adding that “the recruitment of former Minister Kim, a graduate of the first class of the National Tax College who has worked at the Ministry of Economy and Finance for 33 years, including in the Corporate Tax Division, will greatly boost the capacity of Lee & Ko’s Tax Practice Group.”
