In March 10, 2020, the interview with Lee & Ko’s China Practice Group was published on the Herald Economy, which mainly involves increasing potential trade disputes with Chinese companies and the salary issues of overseas branches that might be caused by the continuous spread of the COVID-19.

It was said that, Lee & Ko’s China Practice Group suggested that if it was necessary to suspend the operation of overseas branches in respect of the payment of the salary, it should be handled in accordance with local regulations of China. In particular, it was necessary to understand the government's emergency measures, and it was not allowed to terminate the employment agreement with employees who are unable to work normally or repatriate the dispatched personnel in the regular period. For isolated employees, 80% of the local minimum salary should be paid in accordance with the Chinese Labor Law.
