On 7 February 2020, The Legal Times reported that the law firm of Lee & Ko’s Sanghoon Han was newly appointed as an international arbitrator of the KCAB International.
According to The Legal Times, “the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB), which is the sole arbitral institution in South Korea, conducts a rigorous screening process every year in which arbitrators are appointed if they have at least ten years legal experience, among other qualifications.” The Legal Times further reported, “as of this January 1, 79 domestic and international experts, including attorney Sanghoon Han, were newly appointed as international arbitrators.”
Sanghoon Han is an attorney specializing in international arbitration and has represented domestic and foreign clients in arbitral proceedings conducted under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and the KCAB, among others. In addition, Mr. Han has extensive experience in the fields of labor law, corporate acquisitions and mergers (M&A), general business transactions, and foreign investment.
