An August 30, 2019 article in the Law Times covered news of the “1st Korea Legal AI Conference”
During the discussions among legal experts and professionals that took place at the conference, Mr. Hwan Kyoung KO, an attorney at Lee & Ko who attended the conference, observed that “some attorneys have been continuously resisting the idea of legal AI due to the uncertainty and fear surrounding legal tech. Mr. Ko further elaborated, saying that “high-quality big data such as court decisions is key to the enhancement and sophistication of AI. Similar to how the driver ultimately controls AI when it comes to self-driving cars, legal tech also requires consultations between professionals and AI.”
