Kyo Sik Kim, former Vice-Minister for the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, joined Lee & Ko on September 26, 2011 as Senior Advisor to the firm. Kyo Sik Kim’s distinguished career also includes decades of exemplary service holding office as a customs and tariffs expert in various agencies and organizations, including: the Ministry of Finance and Economy; the World Customs Organization; the Ministry of Finance; and the Korea Customs Service. Senior Advisor Kim’s credentials include professional qualifications awarded pursuant to passing the Higher Civil Service Examination (for public administration officials) and the Customs Service Examination. During a period of approximately 20 years of service at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Senior Advisor Kim acquired extensive experience and expertise in the course of carrying out administrative responsibilities in various divisions. Senior Advisor Kim’s advisory role at Lee & Ko is focused on customs-related matters.
