Byung Choon Chung, a former Deputy Commissioner of the National Tax Service (NTS), has joined Lee & Ko on March 4th 2009 as an of-counsel consultant. Mr. Chung is an expert in the areas of corporate tax, tax law ruling, and tax audit and has served in various capacities in the NTS, including Director of Corporate Tax Division, Director of Investigation Division I, Assistant Commissioner for Legal Affairs & Appeals, Assistant Commissioner for Policy Publicity, Assistant Commissioner for Corporate Taxation Commissioner of Gwangju Regional Tax Office. He retired from NTS as Deputy Commissioner at the end of last year.
