The Asia Legal Awards 2020 named Attorney Hun Ko from Lee & Ko as “Energy and Infrastructure Lawyer of the Year.”
Mr. Hun Ko successfully advised Mirae Asset Daewoo who invested in the construction of a crude oil pipeline linking the Permian and Eagle Ford Basins to Corpus Christi in Texas and also advised on the construction of the Gwangmyeong Seoul Expressway, which had been delayed due to complaints from local residents. He successfully won a lawsuit against Uijeongbu City for partial return of investments on behalf of a former private sector business operator of Uijeongbu Light Rail that had filed for bankruptcy, and has also successfully lead other large-scale energy and infrastructure related cases.
The Asia Legal Awards is an annual awards ceremony hosted by The Asian Lawyer, a sister magazine of the famous American legal media ‘The American Lawyer’ (ALM), which recognizes the best Asian lawyers and law firms, deals, and in-house counsel teams across the entire field of business.
