Hun Ko, a partner in Lee & Ko’s Corporate Group and Banking & Finance Group, received an award from the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs on December 29th, 2015. The award was given to recognize Mr. Ko’s contributions in the area of boosting constructive private investment that has promoted further development of Korea’s social infrastructure and the country’s economy overall.
Mr. Ko is a Corporate and Banking & Finance expert who majored in economics at Seoul National University before becoming a lawyer specializing in financial infrastructure and project finance transactions and related legal issues. He especially focuses on various energy-related business activities and transactions, including private investment in public infrastructure (SOC), power plants and new renewable energy projects. He also has special expertise regarding domestic and foreign property development projects, including industrial complex development, as well as development credit systems.
Mr. Ko has been serving as an advisory committee member for the Investment Dispute Mediation Committee of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance since 2013. Mr. Ko also serves as an advisory committee member for the Korea Housing Finance Corporation and as a member of the Environmental SOC Review Committee of the Korea Environment Corporation.
