Jongwook Kim, a Partner in the Corporate and M&A Practice Group, is an expert in the areas of Corporate, M&A, Corporate Governance, Foreign Investment, Anti-Corruption & Regulatory Compliance, Defense Industry and Hostile Takeovers & Defense.Since joining Lee & Ko in 2006, he has represented many Korean global companies including Samsung, LG, SK and Hanwha, as well as global foreign corporations. Some examples of his representative casework includes involvement in the acquisition of Leonardo Interactive Holdings Limited by Netmarble, sale of Kumho Tire, the sale of Ssangyong Cement, the sale of Hyundai Securities the sale of Hi-mart, the sale of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Hanwha's acquisition of Samsung General Petrochemical and Samsung Total, Hanwha's acquisition of Prudential Investment Securities and Woori Financial Holdings' acquisition of LIG Life Insurance, the merger between LG Chem and LG Petrochemical, the merger between SK Energy and SK Inchon Refinery, the merger between Hana Daetoo Securities and Hana Investment Banking & Securities and the merger among ON Media, CJ Media, CJ Entertainment, Mnet Media and CJ Internet, the spin-off of SK Energy by SK Holdings and the spin-off of CJ Cheiljedang by CJ Corp and the establishment of joint venture between OCI and Hyundai Oilbank.

Mr. Kim was admitted to the Korean Bar and completed his legal training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2006. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University.
