As a highly experienced and certified tax accountant, prior to joining Lee & Ko Youngdae Kwon had worked for National Tax Service of Korea (NTS) for around 31 years.

Mr. Kwon had served at the field tax audit team at Seoul Regional Tax Office of NTS for 15 years. His practice covered various types of industries (IT, electric and electronics, hotel, banking, insurance, securities, fund, chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacture, shipping, wholesale, distribution, and service.) and multinationals with inbound/outbound transactions.

As an international taxation expert, Mr. Kwon taught courses as an adjunct professor on tax audit, transfer pricing, permanent establishment and offshore tax evading cases at the National Tax Officials Training Institute for 7 years.

Mr. Kwon's expertise also covers knowledge on analysis of business enterprise's suspicious tax evading activity by using unique information collection method through both domestic and overseas resources. He also has expertise in information exchange technique based on the tax treaty network.

Mr. Kwon has traveled to many countries for business purpose and to participate in global tax conferences including Hong Kong, Singapore, Netherlands, Malaysia, Malta, United Kingdom, United States, Japan, India, Macau, China, Australia, and Turkey. Therefore, he is well known for his expertise in tax regimes and tax issues worldwide.
