As a partner in the Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group, Bomsok Ko specializes in handling both civil litigation and criminal defense matters. In his civil litigation practice, Mr. Ko has extensive experience acting for clients in a broad range of cases, including matters relating to banking, insurance, securities, corporate governance, antitrust & competition, technology, media, and data protection & privacy, as well as administrative law cases.

Prior to joining Lee & Ko in 2019, Mr. Ko served for sixteen years as a judge in the Korean judiciary. During his distinguished tenure as a judge, he adjudicated a wide array of civil and criminal cases involving various individual and corporate parties. He was awarded recognition as an "Excellent Judge" by the Busan Bar Association for two consecutive years in 2015 and 2016.

Mr. Ko also served as a director at the Judicial IT Bureau of the National Court Administration from 2011 to 2014. In this capacity, he was responsible for Judicial IT policy matters, budgets and contracts, management of the Judicial Information Technology System and development of the Electronic Litigation System.

Mr. Ko became a professor at the Judicial Research & Training Institute (operated by the Supreme Court of Korea) in 2017. He has also given regular lectures on civil and criminal litigation to students at the Yonsei Law School and the University of Seoul Law School.
