Prior to joining Lee & Ko in early 2014, Da Mi Choi served for 10 years as a JAG officer in the Ministry of National Defense (MND), Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) and with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Joint Chiefs of Staff. She has extensive experience in the field of statutory interpretation, handling of governmental litigation and general legal counseling especially concerning large scale governmental procurement relating to MND and DAPA. She has played a leading role as an administrative secretary for the Contract Council on Sanctions, a body responsible for overseeing DAPA's governmental sanctions on non-compliant traders.
Based on her specialized experience, her practice at Lee & Ko focuses primarily on matters relating to national defense industries, governmental sanctions on non-compliant traders and governmental procurement contracts.
