Prior to joining our Criminal Defense (Investigations) Team, Hyun Woong Kim worked for 10 years as a public prosecutor. As a prosecutor, he has worked extensively in the Financial Investigation Department of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office and the International Crime Department, Tax Crime Department, and Insurance Crime Investigation Department of the Busan District Prosecutors' Office.

Mr. Kim’s practice at Lee & Ko focuses on criminal cases related to anti-corruption, intellectual property, large-scale disasters and the environment based on his experience in the prosecution, including KRW 2 trillion gold bullion smuggling case, stock price manipulation using accounting fraud, public office corruption, and large-scale disasters.
