Seminar/Event Lee & Ko IP to Hold "IP Webinar for U.S. and European Clients"2021.11.15
Lee & Ko IP is to hold a webinar for U.S. and European Clients on November 16 and November 18, 2021 under the theme ‘Recent Major IP Issues in South Korea.’
This webinar has been arranged to provide clients with a chance to look into and discuss the Korean IP trends of 2021 relating to patents, healthcare, and trademarks/designs including Metaverse-related issues analyzed by Lee & Ko IP’s experts.
The webinar will consist of a total of four sessions taking place over two days, and during each session, Lee & Ko IP’s attorneys, patent attorneys and U.S. attorneys representing their respective fields will speak about the latest trends and cases.
On the first day (Nov. 16th) of the webinar, in Session 1, Tae Min Kim and Julie Shin will discuss ‘Major Court Precedents and Recent Trends in the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) regarding the Patent Term Extension of Drug Patent,' and in Session 2, Hyungwon Chae and Yongha Kim will speak about ‘Practice on AI and Software Patents.'
On Day 2 (Nov. 18th) of the webinar, Jiwoo Jeong who served as a presiding administrative judge at the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB), Eunwoo Lee, and John Kim will speak in Session 3 regarding 'New Developments in Trademark and Designs Practice' including Metaverse-related issues. This will be followed by Jeneil Chung and Julie Shin’s presentation on 'Parameter Inventions' in Session 4.
