On November 8, 2021, the Legal Times conducted a survey in conjunction with the Korea In-house Counsel Association and the In-house Counsel Forum, which was targeted at in-house counsels on their level of satisfaction with legal services provided by both domestic and foreign law firms. The results of this survey showed that Lee & Ko obtained the highest preferential rating.
In a survey designed to indicate the most attractive law firm to work at when given an opportunity, the results revealed that “it was a close race between Lee & Ko and Kim & Chang as they were both rated the most desirable place to work”. The Legal Times stated that Lee & Ko “has a positive image and is comprised of highly qualified professionals”, “is recognized for its good working atmosphere and the facilitation of opportunities to improve one’s professional ability”, and “is highly regarded in terms of the law firm’s professionalism and salary”. It was further reported that the in-house counsels explained why Lee & Ko was such an attractive place to work by listing that “it’s due to Lee & Ko’s reasonable and systematic composition and the retention of an infrastructure which enables professional development, as well as the fact that it provides opportunities to work with highly regarded professionals with extensive experiences in the financial field”.
