Following his admission to the Korean Patent Bar in 2010, Byung Kuk Seo has acted as a legal advisor for a diverse range of domestic and foreign clients in connection with numerous patent prosecutions and trials. During this time, he has acquired particularly extensive experience in handling foreign patent prosecutions, including many prosecutions and trials carried out in technology-leading overseas jurisdictions, such as the US, the EU, Japan and China.

Byungkuk is able to expertly advise clients on every aspect of the patent application and registration process, from the earliest stages of technology development to post-registration measures for the protection, maintenance and enforcement of patent rights, including representation of clients in related litigation. He has also established an excellent track record for assisting clients in successfully building IP portfolios in conjunction with investigating related art and devising appropriate patent strategies, conducting prior art searches for challenging the validity of competing patents in connection with patent trial procedures, and furnishing expert analysis of allegedly infringing products in patent infringement cases.

He is also highly regarded for his expertise in handling standard patents related to telecommunications (3GPP, ETSI, IEEE, etc.), and writing standard matching documents.
